Life at the Roost: Activities and Holidays

Ask our guests why they keep coming back to Quail Roost RV Park, and most of them won't talk about the sites first. They'll talk about the people. Our Crystal River RV park has a busy, friendly calendar of activities, and our campers are the ones who make it happen. Here's a look at life at the Roost.

A typical week at the park

You can be as busy as you want to be. A week at the Roost might include:

• Bingo and card games in the clubhouse
• Line dancing on the clubhouse dance floor
• Exercise classes and time in the fitness center
• Shuffleboard, horseshoes, darts and washer board
• Swimming in our heated 20 by 50 foot pool
• Bike rides and walking groups around the park
• Scrabble and game nights in the Rec Hall
• Campfires with neighbors in the evening

Many of our talented campers start their own classes too, like scrapbooking, open crafts and more. If you have a hobby to share, there's a good chance others will join in.

Every holiday, together

We celebrate the special days as a park family:

• Thanksgiving
• Christmas tree decorating
• Christmas Eve caroling and party
• Christmas dinner
• New Year's Eve party
• Super Bowl party
• Valentine's dinner
• St. Patrick's Day dinner

If you're far from home over the holidays, you won't spend them alone here.

The places where it all happens

The Clubhouse is air-conditioned and has a dance floor. It's the hub for most of our events. The Rec Hall has a fireplace, an up-to-date library and the campers' mailboxes, so you'll see your neighbors there every day. Our fitness center and heated pool are open for guests to use all year.

Out and about with friends

Our guests often explore the area together. Groups head out to see the manatees, play golf, go fishing, shop the malls and catch local events like the Florida Manatee Festival. See more on our list of things to do in Crystal River.

Quiet when you want it

Not every day needs a plan. Plenty of guests just enjoy the shade, the sunshine and a good book. That's the beauty of a quiet country park. The activities are there when you want them.
